The sun will soon be setting. I find myself looking toward tomorrow & the opportunity to gather with brothers & sisters 8n Christ, to study God’s Word & worship Him at East Mt Baptist Church. I hope you will make God’s House a priority in your life & that of your family. You are always a priority in God’s heart. Pastor Tim
This is coming...be sure not to miss it!
Ladies, don’t forget the Bible study tomorrow morning, Women if the Word, the 2nd part at 10-12 in room 125. And u can be a part of this one even if you missed the first one
Please be in prayer for Roger Kodat, Aimee Smith’s father, who is in the hospital in Virginia. He has had fluid drained from his lungs, not sure of the cause yet. Steven Strait remains at GSMC with possible touch of pneumonia following his emergency surgery earlier this week. And please be in prayer for the folks in the southern half of Louisiana, especially New Orleans, as they are staring Tropical storm/Hurricane Barry in the eye...literally. Baptist relief teams are standing by
John Franklin's dad, Billy, is doing well following his surgery in Shreveport, where they did not have to do a full hip replacement. Also, please be in prayer for Steven Strait, who has been with us at EMBC the past few weeks. Following a trip to the ER today at GSMC, he found himself in emergency abdominal surgery. However, that has gone well & he is in recovery. Please be praying for him & his fiance, Katherine Fisher.
Please be in prayer for John Franklin’s Dad, Billy, who fell earlier today & broke his hip. He is at Willis Knighton in Shreveport where he will have surgery tomorrow morning. Fortunately, it was not a direct break in the hip, but just a little lower, requiring a rod rather than a full hip replacement. Please pray for a smooth procedure & a quick recovery
Please be in prayer for Stefanie Matthew as her father takes her to Dallas today. She has been experiencing problems with continued TIAs & they are trying to figure out what is going on as well as a treatment plan
UPDATE: Caren is better, no eye issues! Prayerfully no procedure will be necessary Please be in prayer for Kenneth Johnson from our youth ministry. Kenneth was in a four wheeler accident this afternoon & is pretty banged up. He has been released from the ER with a concussion, several stitches & a lot of road rash, but apparently no serious injuries, praise God! He will be seeing a neurologist in the next couple of days. Also be praying for Caren Cummings who apparently had a bleed behind her eyes this morning. She did go to the ER & will see an ophthalmologist in the next couple of days.
It is another beautiful Texas sunrise (since Facebook is having a picture problem...again...you will just have to trust us on that one). Bible study starts in less than two hours, worship in about three. The coffee will be on & we will be looking for you!
Ok, so it is going to get hot now. After all, it is Texas & it is July. So, stay hydrated, try to stay cool, & plan on joining us in the cool of the AC tomorrow morning for Sunday School & Worship. And why not plan to return to join us tomorrow evening for worship again. Then we get to enjoy the AC together!
This is the most recent update we have received on Tyston’s sister-in-law, “Julina is back from radiology. While she was there she did have a procedure done in which they put 5 “coils” in and sealed off the aneurysm. Then a very small radiation test was done and the procedure was a success.” Please continue to pray
Please be in prayer for Larry Marshall. Larry is awaiting back surgery, but that has been put on hold as the will first do an MRI on his brain to see if there is any other possible source of his pain. Please pray for Larry & his family & for the outcome of this test. Also, please be praying for Molly Wilson. She was supposed to have her third chemo treatment today, but there were some issues with other readings. We don’t know if she had the treatment or not. Please be praying for peace for her & her family & for God’s healing hand
Received this update: "Update: Julina had a good night and was able to get some much needed rest. She got to hold Eliza this morning She went in for an ultrasound a couple hours ago and the doctors decided it was best to perform an embolism to correct the ruptured artery. God is awesome and miracles happen everyday and Toby is doing great"
Services for Skyler Eddington will be Tuesday at Crowley's Funeral Home in Gladewater. Visitation will be at 10am, service at 11, then Internment at New White Oak Cemetary in White Oak. As per request by the family, "please no flowers or plants. We kindly ask for donations in Skyler's memory to be made to any music program or animal rescue group of your choice. "Please continue to be in prayer for the family during this difficult time
Please be in prayer for the parents, family, & friends of Skyler Eddington. Earlier today Skyler passed away. We do not have any information on arrangements at this time, but will pass them on as soon as we receive them.
ADDITIONAL: From her husband Toby: Julina is stable, she has a ruptured artery, she will need surgery but we are waiting for the radiation levels to subside in her body before the give her more. The radiation will locate the rupture but if levels are too high will damage her kidneys. It's a waiting game now. We need time to pass without more bleeding. She will be in ICU for a couple days awaiting surgery. UPDATE: received this a while ago, “Thank you everyone for all your prayers 🙏🏻 and love 💜 For those of you that didn’t know .. our daughter, Julina has had post delivery complications. She had internal bleeding that has stopped for now, but she is not out of the woods. She had 2 radioactive dye tests done today. She is stable and in ICU now. As long as there are no more complications, they’ll be able to do surgery in a couple days to fix it. She needs to rest for a couple days so some of the radiation can leave her body. We’re still praying 🙏🏻 for Heavenly Father’s will, love 💞 and blessings for healing.” Just received from Tyston Stewart, “My sister-in-law just had a baby yesterday and she’s having some issues and could really use some prayers right now. They are in San Antonio.” From Amber, “Tyston’s brother and his wife that live in San Antonio. She just had their 7th baby, but she is having some complications and has been moved to ICU. We know everyone is busy today but if y’all have a minute to say a prayer we would appreciate it! ❤️”
We join those around our country celebrating freedom & the privilege we have been given to live in this special place. It is not perfect by any means, nor were those who christened her, but this nation has stood for freedom for nearly 250 years. As we remember those who had the courage and fortitude to not only seek independence but to put it in writing, and as we remember those who have given their lives n the battlefield to both earn & protect it as well as those who presently serve to ensure the same, let us pray that we will allow Almighty God to put us back on His course as a nation. Only then will we have the opportunity to fulfill all that is possible in & through the United States of America. Happy 4th of July!
Anyone that is available around 10am tomorrow, would could use your help at the church as we seek to roll up & haul off the slides from the block party. Thank you ahead of time!
